The message here is that of new life with greater understanding and insight where the light of the Soul is allowed to shine through the body as vital flowing Life force. It is about having hope and faith. It is about having realization and spiritual illumination. It is when we see our inner truth this time of year. It is about having hopes fulfilled. It is about feeling our own self-esteem and confidence. It is about having the courage to be ourselves. Yule is a peaceful restful period of spiritual connection to the Universe and others. With this beautiful illumination, we want to share it and preserve it for future years and generations. This is the day we document those memories.
This is a day to allow everyone to take some time and remanence about this Yule time, the past year and their lives. Allow some quiet time and a quiet space for all to peacefully gather their feelings. Then they are ready to journal and create memories for the future years and generations. Gift everyone with journal crafting supplies or video supplies to make their creations.
Some of our family members love to write. So giving them a journal and telling them to preserve their memories of the year and this Yule is a pure delight. But for others not so much. Some of them love an art journal, or a scrapbook of pictures. Some prefer a digital collection of memories. Some do videos. What ever it might be, this is the day we put together memories and moments of significance from the year past and this Yule. It is about story sharing and preserving. We were gifted this year with an old typewriter. We even found some ribbon for it. So for fun everyone will type a page or two for our memory book. Mistakes and all! Ha! We will gift everyone with journal supplies and help each other create memories. There are some journal pages here to print for you to create a journal of your own. This is a good time to put things together for your Book of Shadows so future generations can see. Encourage everyone to note every little thing they can about this Yule. So next year on this day you can read them and compare them. (Also remember to journal in your own personal journal what insights were revealed to you through your Yule meditations and rituals.)
While creating our journals we have the sweet smell of soup simmering in the stove for dinner. Our menu is Vegetable Soup, Fruit, Grilled Sandwiches, and Hot Tea.
