Through out the world and history the Sun has been commemorated in many ways. It has a significant role to play in our existence physically, mentally, and emotionally. It is the spiritual representation of us. Many gods and goddesses have been made to celebrate the Sun. The sun is the center of everything. The Hebrew letter Resh, which is assigned to the Sun, means-Head. Thus the Head is seen as the Sun of our Body. It is the Head-Sun that rises above the Earth and our lower animal thoughts of the survival thinking.

Dr. Paul Foster Case cited The Sun as the Collective Intelligence and The Collective Intelligence of the Sun (Son) exercises control over the 12 signs of the zodiac (12 guideposts of Personality), a link between the personalities that have been experienced in different incarnations. What we are witnessing here, is the destruction of the unworthy elements of the “man-made personality”, so that the Sun (son) Solar-Personality, under the authority of the Soul, is free to arise to its Source.

How the Sun Affects Our Whole Self

The Higher Self must function through the Personality if it is to influence the physical plane, as Pure Spirit must function through the Higher Self to establish “Whole Self”. The fact that we perceive separation between these aspects of one, is to necessitate understanding of each of the components that are in a state of infinite connectivity. These are all connected and that the perception of separation is to expedite understanding of a dimension of conscious energy. Celebrating the Sun is acknowledging our infinite connection to all. With the light and warmth of the Sun we see everyone and everything as part of ourselves.

On this day we make all kinds of art. This year we are making mosaic sun catchers for the windows. The light reflects all of the colors you can imagine, so we decorated with a lot of bright colors. You can gift all kinds of art supplies, and colorful items to decorate with. To celebrate the Sun coming up every morning, we enjoy breakfast for dinner. Our menu is Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Waffles, Biscuits, Hashbrowns, Fruit Jams, Bright Fruit, Sunflower Seeds, & Juice.

Allow yourself to rise to the Sun/Son you are this Yule.
