The Empress Tarot Card, Mother Nature, Queen of Pentacles, Artemis, Gaia, Dianna, Fjörgyn
Ah the beauty that surrounds us this time of year. What ever Mother Nature has thrown your way, whether it be sunshine, snow. rain, ice, etc, it is still a site to behold. Today we take time to reconnect to nature. Winter forest hold a subtle magic, requiring patience and openness. Unlike the vibrant energies of spring or summer, the magic of winter lies in its stillness, its quiet cycles of rest and renewal. It lies in the grounding faith that all is deep inside the Earth and in ourselves. Our soul and light are inside awaiting us to connect. There is beauty in everything, even if it seems barren at first site, there are treasures to be hold. Spend today connecting and finding those treasures.

If permissible we take our Yule Hike today. We hang up bird feeders for the winter birds, we put out nuts, seeds, and food for all the critters we know of in our area. We take note of how the land is preparing for the Spring to come. It is the best time to note the trees and what species they are. We can see clearly paths that are hard to see when the greenery takes over. It is a great time to search and find the natural springs. It is a great time to set up the bird houses for the Spring birds to use soon.

The kids love the cool air and playing with leaves, sticks, snow balls, etc. We get great pics of the family in nature. That includes the four legged kiddos too. This is their chance to run. If you cannot get out in nature for a hike, at least take a moment to sit on the porch or patio. Perhaps sit by a window and watch it snow or rain.
When we get back its time to sit by the fireplace with hot cocoa. The food we took with us on our hike was Rolled Steak, Cheese Sticks, Rolls, Carrot Sticks, Pickles, & Tea. When we return we are wore out and just eat left overs from the week. As gifts we usually built snowmen and statues. And we had snow cream. If we were not blessed with snow, we have holiday decorated ice cream. Ha!
Blessed Be
