Imbolc: A Spiritual Journey of Listening

Imbolc is a time of closing out our last reflections of winter while building our excitement for Spring. The ideas we found in our deep reflections are igniting inspirations to act upon this coming Spring. Imbolc celebrates a time of being half way there. In the middle of Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. A 48 day journey seeing the light rise out of the darkness.

During Yule we took our lanterns inward into the darkness and to sit with it. We basked in the all knowingness and the unknowingness. We walked through our own fog of our shadows and transmuted our fears. This Imbolc we begin to come back out of the darkness with new insights and power from conquering our own dragons. We will now fly on those dragons toward our dreams.

A Spiritual Imbolc Journey

During the time of Imbolc the Spiritual Journey is about listening. We need to slow down, pause and clear the noise that blocks the secrets of life from revealing themselves to us. This time, at the winter’s end, is a time of reflection. A time to contemplate and see our inspirations and ideas as seeds. It is a time to nurture those seeds, a time to compost what isn’t needed, and a time to connect to those around us on a deeper level.

A time to see the beauty and goodness all around us, even in the appearance of death during the winter. We have to look past the pessimism and see optimism instead.

Pessimism is a sense of helplessness that comes from thinking we cannot make our dreams come true. But through this Imbolc Journey we will see a spiritual process of making them come true. We will embrace the excitement and enthusiasm of building a dream.

It is about focusing on the beautiful growth in us and around us. It is about nurturing our dreams, our purpose, and our mission of a better world. This will distract us from only focusing on the unnerving frequencies around us.

Like only seeing the crises, the bad news and the chaos. Yes the whole collective is programmed into these frequencies, but we are going to tune out of these frequencies this Imbolc. We are going to see the strength and love of creation and us. We are not victims. We are love.

We will tune back into love of each other, and of nature. We will tune in and listen to our hearts and grow our dreams. To show you an example of this journey, we are going to take a Moon Journey through the season of Imbolc.

The Moon Journey of Imbolc

Imbolc goes through Feb 1st through March 20th, which is Spring Solstice. We will connect with a message from the Moon as it goes through its zodiac during these 48 days.

February 1st Moon in Pisces

During this time we become more sensitive and perceptive of our environment. We have an urge to access our creativity and imagination. This energy is a good for planning our garden creations or any thing we have been wanting to create. If feelings of insecurity and passiveness creep in, then meditate on the beauty of nature and how its journey is an example of the ups and downs of life. Then remember it is all part of the process.

February 2nd Moon in Aries

Seeds are excited and anxious to rise and some do start popping out of the snow. They survive but with more difficulty. This is a time to slow down, even if we are excited about Spring and its warmer weather. Spring fever gets to all of us and sometimes we jump on things too soon. It is a time of planning and getting our seeds and ideas ready. It is time to set up structures and prepare our compost by getting rid of things we do not need. Start out this Lunar New Year with a steady comfortable pace.

February 4th Moon in Taurus

This time brings an energy of instability. This time of year could bring unexpected weather that delays our progress. Even situations in life can bring us delays. Remember we are pacing ourselves and taking things one at a time. Relax and embrace your true self. All of these material goals are nice but true peace and tranquility are inside of you. Do the Great Work and Get to Know Thyself.

February 6th Moon in Gemini

As winter weather progresses we get antsy, wanting warmer weather. We want change. Now is the time to share and connect with others that share our love of Spring, gardening, or what ever your creative project is this year. Get excited together and compare notes even.

February 8th Moon in Cancer

Here is a wonderful energy that turns us toward our families and homes. We can use this time to plan for Spring together. Plan gardens, sports, activities, etc. Gather things needed for cookouts, Spring celebrations, and what ever you have planned. Talk about what inspirations you all have and that you want to manifest this Spring. Let everyone contribute to the plans.

February 11th Moon in Leo

After all have contributed to the Spring plans, try to remember this is a time of synergy. Synergy is when things run smoothly within a group or team. It is about allowing all to contribute but then figuring out how it can all work together. This is done with love and understanding of every team member.

February 12th Full Snow Moon in Leo

This is a time to observe and embrace the snow and other weather around us. A time to be grateful of the time we have with our loved ones. A time to look inward and calm ourselves from the inside out. This is when we feel the healing from connecting to the calmness of winter.

February 13th Moon in Virgo

During this time a energy of order may come over you. Now is a good time to get organized. Our garages, sheds, and homes could all use some tidying up. Also take some time to get our thoughts together about our gardens or other projects we are doing. It is a time to freshen things up that have been cooped up for awhile. Now this doesn’t mean to be a perfectionist. It means getting things handy and getting rid of things we don’t need.

February 1th Moon in Libra

As we all get things freshened up and give it a new look, remember to allow everyone to be themselves and express themselves freely. Let all contribute and bring together something everyone finds useful and appealing.

February 18th Moon in Scorpio

Here we have a deep energy. As we all start getting rid of unneeded things in our lives – emotions arise. Remember everyone is attached to things for different reasons and on different levels. Allow everyone, including ourselves, the time needed to process through those feelings. If it is not the time to throw something out, then that is ok. Give everyone their space at this time to reflect on their own.

February 21st Moon in Sagittarius

After some time of deep reflection we find ourselves waking up to a new energy. A feeling of adventure, exploration, and a need to search. We now feel lighter after we got rid of things in our life. We have even felt some relief after shedding some tide up negative energy wrapped up in our clutter. Now we may feel there is more room for new things, but this feeling will not be satisfied with new material things. this energy is that drive to find purpose in life. To embrace a mission. Here we can spend some time thinking about what is truly important to us.

February 23rd Moon in Capricorn

As we embrace the feeling of purpose inside of us, we begin to see a feeling of serving the collective arise as well. A need to serve society, or our communities. Trust in the inner values that are found inside us all and be careful not to do service for the recognition from others.

February 25th Moon in Aquarius

As we have catered to the seeds we are growing for transplanting, we are also nurturing the ideas and inspirations that have come to all of us from our times of reflection. In order to manifest these ideas in the Spring, we have gathered supplies, gotten organized, and found a purposeful meaning for it all. This is the time to see how far we have come during this Imbolc Spiritual Journey. Now is also when we keep an eye out for the last frost, and make sure those seedlings are ready to put in the ground. Be ready when it is time to start your creations.

February 27th Moon in Pisces

Now we sit back and appreciate how the winter’s reflections have brought us peace and an new understanding of ourselves and others. We now realize that little steps toward Getting to Know Ourselves is all it takes to see the beauty in life.

February 28th New Moon in Pisces

As we take more actions toward our ideas they begin to evolve. New inspirations grow and more ideas come along. It builds as it grows. An energy of excitement and enthusiasm also begins to grow. A love blossoms for the projects we are creating. We notice the seedlings are almost too big for the small containers they are growing in. They look like they just want to jump into the ground themselves. Now is when they are building strength in their stems and roots, just like we are gathering all that is needed for our creations.

March 1st Moon in Aries

The busy growing season is about to start, so take this time to pause and take it all in. Some animals are migrating and some plants are budding. The yard, the boxes, the beds, etc are all ready for when it is time to plant. We are all set up and ready for the right time to start to move forward with our plans. We have gotten organized and composted what we don’t need materially and emotionally. We have gained a synergy with team members. We have gained purpose and excitement around our ideas. It is truly a lot to be grateful for. Relax and enjoy it.

March 3rd Moon in Taurus

During this process somethings have changed and a progression has occurred. Maybe everyone sees each other in a new light and maybe our homes feel lighter. But change is good and part of our evolution. Embrace it and go with the flow of life.

March 6th Moon in Gemini

Now is the time for a gathering with your family and team. A dinner perhaps or an activity. A time to share love and connect. A time to encourage one another and each other’s dreams.

March 8th Moon in Cancer

Now is the time to decorate for Spring. Yes put that flower wreath on the door. A time to step back and see how your manifesting is coming to fruition in small steps. Remember everything is for a reason and in its perfect timing.

March 10th Moon in Leo

Remember to hold unto those dreams no matter what others may say about it. Keep it all flexible and evolving, but always keep going toward them. Connect with others with the same dream and build a synergy.

March 12th Moon in Virgo

Get together with your new team and organize your thoughts, inspirations, and ideas. Start putting together a plan for new ideas. Follow the lead of your purpose and mission.

March 15th Moon in Libra

Remember to not lose yourself as you work with others. Whether it is with family, coworkers, employees or team members. Every person has something to offer, the trick is to figuring out how it all works together. Its like companion planting in the garden, each plant helps the other.

March 17th Moon in Scorpio

Make sure we keep our goals connected to our purposes. Align our missions with our values that we found in our deep contemplations. It is not about the material growth, but how it all serves the collective.

March 20th Spring Equinox Moon in Sagittarius

The team is now excited about new solutions and new creations. The enthusiasm is growing and magic is happening. Seeds are getting transplanted. A balance of day and night has arrived. An understanding amongst us and those around us has arisen. The time of growing and building has come upon us. Lets get busy.
